There’s so much to see and explore around this area. The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Arnside & Silverdale AONB and wildlife haven of the Morecambe Bay area are all within easy reach.
Breakfast is something special at Tythebarn House B&B. There’s local produce on the menu along with Diana’s home-baked bread and preserves made with fruit from the allotment.
There are usually three choices when it comes to booking your breakfast.
- Bed and Break – catering for yourself in your own kitchenette.
- Breakfast on a Tray – a lighter breakfast. Served in your room 7.00 – 10.00 am.
Suitable for vegetarians.
- Full-English Breakfast.* Served upstairs in our breakfast room 8.00 – 9.30 am. A choice is available for vegetarians.

Summer or winter, light breakfast or full breakfast. there is always something really good to start the day. Seeing is believing, so here goes….
There was a beautiful, gentle autumn light on the evening I took this photograph. It was so peaceful and made me think how special it is to share our corner of Cumbria with guests who travel our way and pause for a while.
I’d been pondering on how we need to be kinder to ourselves…..
Patterns in nature were in abundance as we wandered down through the woods, following the rustic signposts for Jenny Brown’s Point.
Wandering through the village and down to the allotment to gather a bunch of harvest-time goodies, signs of autumn are all around.
