Swanning along on a windy day.
The local swans are almost always on show along our stretch of the Lancaster Canal. It’s worth those few steps from our door, to take the time to pause and watch as they proudly patrol their patch.
The youngsters love to stretch their wings from time to time, attempting a teenage-style invasion on already claimed territory. I’ve never known them succeed and life goes on along our patch of the canal.
