Breakfast is something special at Tythebarn House B&B. There’s local produce on the menu along with Diana’s home-baked bread and preserves made with fruit from the allotment.

There’s a choice when it comes to Breakfast

  • Catering for yourself in your own little kitchen.
  • Light ‘Breakfast on a Tray’, brought to your room or served in our courtyard Garden Pod 7.00 – 10.00 am
  • Diana’s full English ‘Stone-Baked Breakfast’. Served upstairs in our breakfast room. 8.00 – 9.30 am.*

We request that both guests choose the same breakfast option.

*Please contact Diana directly, by phone, message or email, if you wish to book Full-English Breakfast, as this option is not available on the on-line booking system. Thank you.

Diana is happy to cook-up a vegetarian, vegan. gluten-free or dairy-free breakfast. Please let us know in advance of your stay.

For those who love an early or more leisurely start to your day.

‘Breakfast on a Tray’ will be brought to your room or served in our amazing NEW Garden Pod. 7.00 – 10.00 am.

Orange Juice

Lovingly Artisan Sourdough Breakfast Roll with Diana’s home-made Preserves,

or delicious Porridge with little extras treats – taking this traditional favourite to new heights of indulgence.

Tea or freshly ground Coffee.

Vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free variations available on request. Please let us us know in advance of your stay.
Here’s Diana’s favourite vegan special: Porridge, chia seeds, ground flax seeds, berries, fresh fruit, soya yoghurt, walnuts, toasted seeds and home-made almond milk.


Made in Diana’s kitchen from home-grown or local fruit. These blackcurrants grow on our allotment and the mint is in our little courtyard garden. Our selection varies, but there’s always a very tempting choice. There may be Gooseberry and Elder-flower, Blackcurrant and Mint, Rhubarb and Ginger, Plum and Bay leaf or the ever delicious Just Strawberry.

Our locally sourced Artisan bread is from Lovingly Artisan ‘bread with northern soul’.

Three generations of bakers are behind Diana’s love of bread-making and there’s nothing she loves better than nurturing a loaf of bread in to life in the kitchen at Tythebarn House.


Crunchy deliciousness, with thick and creamy yoghurt. One spoonful is never quite enough.


Made the old-fashioned way with oatmeal soaked overnight, cooked up to a creamy softness and served in our ‘Goldilock’s Bowls .



Maybe home-grown strawberries or raspberries from ‘Lottie’, depending on the season.

A family recipe appears too. Diana’s version of Devonshire Bakery Potato Cakes, just like her Dad and Grandad used to make, have a special place on the breakfast menu.
